Fundraising Events

Fanconi anemia is an extremely rare disease. We welcome all efforts to raise funds for FA research.

Although FA is a rare disease, the likely function of FA genes in the DNA repair pathway cause research into FA to have direct application to research for many cancers that affect the general population, such as breast, ovarian, and pancreatic cancers.

Ideas for events to raise funds for Fanconi anemia research include the following:

• Car Washes
• Birthday, graduation, anniversary parties at which guests are asked to donate to the Fund instead of give a gift to the honoree.
• Garage sales
• Church bazaars
• Tournaments (golf, tennis, softball, bowling, etc)
• Marathons and other races
• Dinners and silent auctions
