The standards for clinical care of Fanconi anemia patients were developed at a consensus conference sponsored by the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund in March 2003. The Fund owes a tremendous debt of gratitude to Eva Guinan, MD, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, for serving as moderator of the conference and to all the participants for donating their time and expertise to develop these standards.
