We were nearing the end of our isolation throughout Mason’s bone marrow transplant process - 250 days! Then, due to COVID-19, we were told to go back to complete isolation – all of us! No one in or out of our house for the next several weeks.
I’m not going to lie…my first reaction was complete anger, followed by pure sadness. We were so close. So close to rejoining society, being with our family and friends, going back to school and church, and just being able to breathe again.
After I spent a few days in a pity party, I got back up and started fresh. We’ve done this, we’ve lived this life. We were made for this moment. If I could give any of you ideas or suggestions they would be this:
We will continue to enjoy all the moments, even if they are in quarantine. Please be smart and listen to the warnings. Stay home and enjoy these moments to the best of your ability.
