Sherri first came to Oregon as an undergraduate student at the University of Oregon, where she earned degrees in International Relations and Spanish. After graduation, her wanderlust led her to go explore overseas. She returned to Oregon after spending five years in Brussels, Belgium, where she studied foreign languages and earned her Master’s degree in Communications.
She first joined FARF in 2015 as Communications Coordinator, then Communications Director. Now, as Community Relations Director, she is responsible for all of FARF’s marketing and communications activities, including publications, website, email, and social media. Additionally, she works with other leaders with the organization on FARF's international efforts and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
A wannabee foodie, Sherri is enthusiastic about trying new recipes and sharing meals and great conversation with family and friends. She spends weekends exploring new places in Oregon, making progress on her "to read" list, or working on overambitious DIY projects.
